Greetings folks, I recently picked up a 55 plate 2.0TDCI Ghia and cannot believe how good it is. Seriously - I wish I'd bought one years ago. Anyway, I have the Sony 6CD unit (which does seem to run very warm to the touch - is this OK?) and I noticed a 'phone' button on the source selector. Is this misleading or am I somehow able to connect a mobile phone to the stereo?
I cover 30000 miles per year and was about to fit a Parrot or IOPLAY device, which I'm happy to do so long as I don't already have a solution in the stereo itself. Farmtrac 555 parts manual. Apologies if this one has been done to death before, however I didn't get the manual for the stereo with the car. Is there a link to an online version?
Really like the audio performance, especially with the DSP set to 'optimise right'. A really good sound, and that's coming from someone who works for a premium music systems manufacturer. Many thanks in advance, Cleggy. Greetings folks, I recently picked up a 55 plate 2.0TDCI Ghia and cannot believe how good it is. Seriously - I wish I'd bought one years ago. SECURITY CODE Most units incorporate a unique Key code security number that must be entered before the unit will operate. Normally, the Ford Dealer does this during the pre delivery inspection. If the battery is disconnected for any reason, or the audio unit is removed from the vehicle, the Key code must be re-entered before the unit will work again. LOST SECURITY CODE If you lose the Key code, contact your dealer and supply details of your audio unit along with some proof of identity. Your Dealer will then obtain the correct code from Ford Motor Company. ENTERING A SECURITY CODE If 'CODE -', 'CODE 0000' or 'Enter Key code' appears in the display when you switch on the audio unit, you must enter the Key code using the station preset buttons. According to the Ford Handbook Error Message E3 is 'Mechanical Error ' and their suggestion is 'Install a new Audio Unit '.which is not very helpful There`s not much that can be done as a D-I-Y solution with these CD Units apart from cleaning the laser lens with a cleaning disk+solution (from your local audio Store or Ebay etc).or a full reboot.by disconnecting the unit from the battery for 20 minutes, replacing it and hoping that it will have reset itself. Make sure you have the correct radio code before attempting this disconnection procedure ( If not, just post the Serial Number (found on a label on the casing) and someone will calculate the correct code.
